Mark Heitmann

Mark was born in Long Island, New York and moved to Santa Barbara in 1973 with his sister and parents. His family has been involved in Real Estate since that time and after Mark graduated high school in 1982, he joined the U.S. Air Force, where he proudly served 4 years as a Crew Chief on F-4 and F-16 fighter jets, while also earning two Meritorious Service Medals. When Mark was honorably discharged from the military in 1987, he decided to follow in his family footsteps and became a licensed Realtor in 1988. In 1992 he also became a state certified licensed Real Estate Appraiser.

Mark ran a successful Appraisal business for over 30 years, where he earned a reputation as an honest, accurate and reliable Appraiser with his many clients. Mark’s daughter Kate graduated college in 2021 when she too followed in her family footsteps, joining the Epstein Partners as a licensed Agent. Now, she and Mark work together with the team. One of the special connections that Mark shares with Kate is that they were both named “Rookie of the Year” in their respective first years of sales.

Mark has been married to his lovely wife Kay since 2007 and they enjoy spending their time wine tasting in the Santa Ynez Valley, walking their grand dog Winston, and visiting family in Green Bay, Wisconsin (Go Packers!). Mark’s other interests include classic cars, playing tournament poker, and an occasional golf game. He also loves rescue dogs and deeply respects the veterans who have served in the military.
